Dit reën! / It’s raining!

‘Pluviophile’

The word pluviophilecomes from the Latin word “pluvial,” which means rain, and “phile,” which denotes a thing or a person. Therefore, a pluviophile is a lover of rain, or someone that finds joy and peace of mind during the rainy days.

So is daar gedoen en reën dit so uur later.

Ek staan op daardie stadium in ‘n winkel. Ek bid.

Vloede is okay.

Toodles!

Oh how much I love the rain! Yesterday we experienced a terrible sandstorm here. It was wind and dust everywhere! Not to mention the 37 degrees Celsius heat! The wind was as hot as a groom on his wedding night! And today it started to rain

This morning on our way to school we pray as usual, but today I decided to give the kids something specific for them to pray for. Tjoeks has to pray for rain. "Jesus, give us rain. Our dam is empty. Give us rain then the fish can also drink water again." Thought I gobbled her up! She was so cute!
There was a call that we should pray together today at 13:00 for rain. That's how it was done and it rained about 1 hour later.I was standing in a store at that point. I pray. "Lord, may this rain be sustained and pervasive now, until you have given enough for everyone across South Africa."My mother mentioned that we would even be okay with floods. 😅 And here in my heart I say too. Floods are okay. Just help us have our Ark ready. As the weather drums outside I feel refreshed and happy. As mentioned above, I find joy and peace of mind in the rain. Apparently, people who enjoy the rain are generally happier with life. More joyful. Today I can assure you one thing. No one in our community is unhappy about this rain today, we are all happy and grateful.Toodles!
