Die strop om ons nekke. / The noose around our throats.

(Persoonlik is ek ‘n geheelonthouer.) Of ons mag rook of nie.

Uhmmm, as jy so sê.

Today I want to share with you my displeasure and despondency towards those in our ruling seats. We have been locked in for 95 days today. We are told what we could do and what not. Where we may and where we may not go. When we may move outside and when not. What we may drink and what not. (Personally, I am a complete retainer.) Whether we may smoke or not. (I don't smoke.)This time of restraint has given our country's government, which is already so power hungry, the opportunity to tighten the noose that is already around our necks.B.E.E is made much stronger and is changed to B.E.E.E. (Actually before lockdown though ...) The excuse is that it will strengthen the economy ... Uhmmm, if you say so. Because, apparently, letting others pay for things that happened years before they were born is the right thing to do. Transformation at the expense of others' safety, income and health. Now during the lockdown period, our nooses are tightened, because we have loadshedding and when the power is off, our water is down as well. A schedule has been given, but those in the power chair do not stick to it and turn the power on and off as it suits them. The water only comes on much later. The result is that their own people are also included in this turmoil and their own people's lives are also ruined. You see, the problem with powerhunger is that it makes you selfish and as long as your own light burns and your own washing machine can have water and you have food on your own table it doesn't matter what happens to your own people. This, of course, causes an uproar in their own people. They burn tires in the road, throw stones and also destroy property ... When this happens, apartheid is blamed and no one owns up to their own incompetent leadership. Our electricity is turned off up to 4x a day. Our water is also regularly off. This is all because of the fact that they simply put our taxpayers' money into their own pockets and refuse to maintain or fix what is still working or broken. Now I ask the question: How long? How long before their own people realize who is actually the trouble maker? How long do we still have to pay for something we were not part of? How long?Toodles🦋
